Series co-creator Dan Harmon shared some details via Den of Geek in terms of narrative of “Rick and Morty” Season 3. Harmon stated, “We hired a bunch of new writers. There was a craving for a gender balance in the writers’ room that we had never had. We just looked harder and I don’t know if it was coincidence or because the show was popping up on the radar of a lot of great female writers noticing, it was a cominbation of all those factors.”

In addition, Harmon announced that the series is slated to return during the latter months of 2016. He also revealed that Cartoon Network will be airing 14 episodes for the 3rd season instead of the initial 10-episodic run, Techno Buffalo has reported.
