Mexican singer-songwriter Carín León (real name Óscar Armando Díaz de León Huez) has announced a groundbreaking residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, making him the first Hispanic / Latino artist to headline the venue.

The announcement was made during a press event held at Wynn Las Vegas.   He’s set to perform three shows on September 11, 12, and 13, 2026, coinciding with the Mexican Independence Day celebrations in Las Vegas.

Because of the Sphere’s cutting-edge technical features — including its world-wrapping LED screen system, immersive sound, and overall immersive spectacle — the shows are being billed as unlike anything yet seen in Spanish-language music or regional Mexican performance on U.S. soil.

Pre-sales for tickets start September 23, 2025; general public ticket sales begin September 26.

The Sphere is considered a landmark venue in terms of audiovisual tech and immersive experience; having a Latino  Spanish-language music artist headline a residency there represents both symbolic and industry significance. It’s a recognition that music in Spanish, and regional Mexican music more specifically, has earned commanding influence in venues historically dominated by anglophone or pop/rock acts.  Timing is also significant: the shows fall on Mexican Independence Day celebrations, which adds cultural weight.  It positions Carín León not just as a star within his genre but as a crossover / global artist with broad appeal.
